Master Crossfit Competitor

As a Crossfit Athlete, recovery is important. I need to do skill work, Olympic lifting, gymnastics and metabolic conditioning. Everything must be at 100% effort.

CROSSFIT is an ATHLETIC competition. The only way to win is to do more work faster! Either I finish before you, or I don't. Either I lift more than you, or I don't. If I DON'T, who do I have to blame? Me. If I don't finish first I try harder and do better next time!

How does one recover from a morning "Met-con" and prepare for an afternoon strength workout? Rest, nutrition and IgY Recovery Protein.

Did I mention that I am a "Masters" athlete? At many competitions I compete against girls who are the same age as my daughters…and I do WELL! However, RECOVERY has been the most difficult part of getting older. I need more rest, more ice and more preparation than the younger athletes. IgY Recovery Protein has become a large part of that recovery process. Immediately following my workouts I have a serving of IgY Recovery Protein. Most days usually consist of 2 or 3 servings. Because I am a "natural" athlete, I am very particular about what I put in my body. Whole food nutrition is always preferable to synthetic supplements.

Does it work? I began Crossfit in 2008, 6 months after shoulder surgery. In 2010 I placed 6th at the South Central Regionals. However, the intense level of competition left me with severe tendonitis in both bicep tendons. In August of 2010 I began taking IgY Recovery Protein. In 2011 I made it to the Crossfit Games International Finals. No tendonitis. It works.

Also, I work as a Crossfit Coach and a Personal Trainer. I do not recommend any products to my clients that I am not willing to use.
